Bingo Lingo
- Bingo:
What you shout loudly when you have a winning card!
- Bonanza Board:
Indicates the balls called, number of balls and pattern for the Bonanza.
- Bonanza Game:
A blackout having 50#s called early in a session and completed later.
- Bonanza Sheet:
A sheet for personally recording called Bonanza Numbers.
- Dabber, Dauber, Marker:
An inking device for marking paper cards.
- Drop In Bingo:
Play one game or more games, the choice is yours.
- Electronic Terminal:
Computer-enabled bingo on a PC which allows multiple plays and various additional gaming opportunities at no additional cost but available only on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- Flashboard:
Indicates the game numbers called, number of balls in play and pattern in play.
- Free Number:
A number declared in play without being called: e.g. all numbers ending in "3."
- Houdini:
A game in which a called number is reversed whenever possible: e.g. N-35 & G-53 are both playable when either number is first called.
- "I'm Set":
I need one number to win.
- Odd/Even Game:
A blackout played having the Odd or Even numbers declared free.
- Package:
Evening session cards in a pack.
- Paper Bingo:
Paper cards played with a dabber.
- Progressive:
A Jackpot which builds each session until won or maximum reached.
- Reno Number:
When the first number is called, both digits of that number are beginning and ending free numbers.
- Regular Bingo:
When cards (Books) are purchased from the cashier. These cards then take you through the entire bingo session. Proof of the purchase with a receipt is required to receive any prize payout.
- Session:
One complete Bingo program.
- Speed Bingo:
When balls are called at a rapid pace on specified speed bingo sessions. Speed bingo is currently offered Thursday Evenings, Thursday Late Nights and Friday late Nights.
- A Set:
A portion of a Drop In Bingo: each set offers one book and one or more specials.
- Ka-Chingo:
Large Progressive Jackpots played two times daily at 2:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. in Bingo Halls across BC. For the details on how to play, click here .
